Lame Excuse

It’s good to get these things on record again once in awhile. 85 Republicans in the Kansas Assembly hate poor people so much that they voted once again not to expand Medicaid to cover 160,000 of them at federal expense. Their lame excuse: they might not have enough votes to back out of the program, on the off chance that the feds stop paying for it. Given 37 votes currently for expansion in a 125 person house, the Democrats would need to pick up 26 seats in the Fall to pass it.
