KANSAS BUDGET’S IN FINE SHAPE…IF YOU’RE FOR DISMANTLING EFFECTIVE GOVERNMENT

Governor Brownback says that Kansas taxes and budget are in fine shape. Oddly enough, by his lights he is telling the truth. Immense tax cuts for the rich are antiegalitarian, which to him means just deserts. The constant search for needy groups to throw under the bus is reducing the quality of life of ordinary folks, which will incentivize workers to be more submissive. Destruction of our highway program is just fine for people who travel by helicopter. A general dismantling of effective government is a clear social improvement if you don’t believe in the idea of government in the first place. And an economy that goes nowhere is good for the rich if they keep getting a bigger and bigger share of it.
